Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is she is a Mexican American broadcaster. The present sportscaster is for ESPN and is anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the age of nine. Her ability was crucial in her landing her first position as production assistant for Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she was a producer of the shows Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, it was the CBS channel located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. The journalist was employed with KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. She reported on stories related to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking within both Texas as well as Mexico. Also, she was often requested to serve as an anchor for the weather or sports. Then she anchor and wrote on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She reported on events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. Apart from that, she also produced the Univision 23 local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor herself. She became a sports host on the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. She also played the job as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network, and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta's parents are originally native to Veracruz Mexico. The family moved to Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. She is younger than her sister. In 1992, the family moved out of Mexico for the US and settled in Miami. The couple divorced shortly afterwards and in 1995 she tied the knot with a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The couple remained there in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer, when she was approached for the chance to get a job. At the time of her senior year in high school and yet having a clear vision of what she would like to accomplish for her life, Antonietta attended at the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. It turned out that she enjoyed the university and that the school offered the major she wanted. After graduating from school, she was enrolled at the college with a major in media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager for WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a participant. He guided her to become self-confident and his passion for journalism greatly influenced her and she also tried to exceed his expectations, and to never fail him.
